FREE Illustrative Mathematics 6–8 Math Curriculum Now Open

FREE Illustrative Mathematics 6–8 Math Curriculum Now Open

One of my favorite websites for math has been Illustrative Mathematics, an incredible resource for K-12 mathematics instruction. That is why I was so excited by the news that they have just released a NEW 6–8 Grade Math curriculum as an Open Educational Resource, which means it is FREE!.

You can

explore the curriculum here. Please note, even though you had login information to our sample materials environment, you’ll need to create a new login on the curriculum site to access the full materials.

Here is what their website reports:

We’ve been raving about this curriculum for months. Today I want you to hear from the educators who used the curriculum last year, and whose feedback helped to enhance the materials. See what they had to sayHere’s my personal favorite, from instructional coach David Pascarand of Tumwater School District:

"Student engagement has gone through the roof. There's a buzz in our math classrooms."

It warms our hearts to read these words, and to think that we might elevate mathematics education by giving away curriculum of this exceptional quality.
